About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned Lead / Staff C++ Engineer to join a high-performing Agile engineering team building mission-critical, high-performance Windows applications for the financial services market. This is a senior individual contributor role where you will drive technical decisions, own complex problem areas, and directly influence the architecture and quality of our core platform.

If you are a Windows application specialist with deep expertise in C/C++, Win32, multithreading, and socket programming — and you thrive in a complex, performance-critical codebase — this role is built for you.

·      Diagnose and resolve complex defects including memory leaks, race conditions, multithreading, and concurrency issues

·      Architect and optimize Windows application components with a focus on performance, reliability, and scalability

·      Build and maintain socket programming and network communication layers within enterprise banking applications

·      Collaborate with product, QA, and architecture teams during planning, estimation, and design reviews

·      Proactively maintain and modernize the existing codebase, applying best practices for code quality and security

·      Contribute to Agile ceremonies — sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and technical grooming sessions

·      Mentor and guide other engineers on Windows internals, debugging practices, and performance patterns

·      Solid understanding of Windows internals — process/memory model, kernel objects, IPC

·      Expert-level debugging skills using tools such as WinDbg, Visual Studio Debugger, or similar

·      Experience in the banking or financial services domain (strongly preferred
