Job Overview

As a Back-End Engineer, you will play a key role in building and managing scalable backend systems that support both our diverse user base and healthcare professionals delivering personalized nutrition guidance. Your responsibilities will include designing reliable databases, developing efficient data processing solutions, and integrating multiple systems to ensure secure and seamless data flow. Your expertise in backend engineering, data management, and system integration will help strengthen the core of our platform and contribute to improving health outcomes through technology-driven solutions.

You Will

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems powering the web application.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers to build and enhance scalable APIs aligned with business requirements.
• Follow engineering best practices including code reviews, testing, and performance optimization to ensure high-quality development standards.
• Work closely with product and business teams to understand user requirements and translate them into efficient backend solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application, server-side, and database-related issues.
• Continuously monitor, improve, and optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements for current and future backend platforms.

You Have

• 5+ years of experience in backend development using technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, or Node.js.
• Strong experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs with focus on scalability and performance.
• Good understanding of relational and NoSQL databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and DynamoDB. Exposure to cloud data warehouses like Amazon Redshift is an added advantage.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Lambda, SQS, RDS, and EC2.
• Exposure to low-code platforms like Retool is a plus.
• Experience with Docker and containerized application environments such as Kubernetes.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
