Role Overview

As a Sr./Lead Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automation frameworks for web applications and APIs. You’ll work closely with Product, Development, and QA teams to ensure high-quality software releases through continuous testing and automation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web and API testing.
  • Build and execute automated test suites for functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Develop reusable automation scripts using Java, Playwright, and Selenium.
  • Automate REST API validation and backend service testing.
  • Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery.
  • Collaborate with developers to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects.
  • Improve test coverage, execution efficiency, and overall software quality.
  • Participate in test planning, code reviews, defect analysis, and release validation.
  • Drive automation best practices and mentor junior team members.

Required Skills

  • 6–10 years of experience in Software Test Automation.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in Playwright, Java, and Selenium.
  • Solid experience in API Testing using RESTful services.
  • Strong knowledge of automation framework design and test architecture.
  • Experience with TestNG, JUnit, Maven, or Gradle.
  • Experience with Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Good understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
